THE ARK (Nursery)
WELCOME TO THE ARK!
We believe that our children are God's greatest gift to us! The quality of childcare is important to Palmetto Presbyterian Church (PPC). We seek to provide a safe, Christian atmosphere for the youngest members of our church family. We hope that by providing our loving care for your children that you will be able to participate in worship and fellowship at PPC. PPC is dedicated to hiring trained staff and working with volunteers to provide the special care that complements and strengthens the Christian experience at home.
Purpose of Childcare Ministries
Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for children.
Engage the children in simple faith based programs with play, songs and stories.
Encourage the active participation of parents in worship, Bible study and other activities.
Nurture and support children to have positive feelings about the church.
Help children learn to play and share with other children.
God Loves Me Curriculum
All children in THE ARK will be introduced to God's love. Babies are cuddled while toddlers are gently encouraged to join the "circle." The God Loves Me curriculum provides a short age-appropriate story followed by a simple prayer. The children learn to fold their little hands and bow their heads in prayer. Learning through play, the children will participate in a movement/art/music activity about the story heard. Never underestimate the mind of a two-year-old!
