Doing A New Thing

Doing A New Thing

“See, I am about to do a new thing, Now it springs up, do you not perceive it?  Isaiah 43:19

One of the joys of doing ministry at Palmetto is our willingness to allow the Holy Spirit’s leading as we try new things. Last year when we started “Second Sundays” we had no idea how well they would be received, but I am pleased to say they have become a wonderful way for families to worship together.

So this year we are “doing a new thing” again with our weekend VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL. This year our theme is “Yee Haw,” and it will run on Saturday from 10:00 to 3:00 and again on Sunday after church followed by a “family” bar-b-cue on Sunday at 5:00. It is a different concept but will enable us to include the whole PPC family (everyone is invited Sunday evening).

If you do not have children, maybe you are attending our summer class “I Said This, You Heard That” or maybe you are interested in “The Turquoise Table” class that will begin in July. We are doing things differently with faith formation, with missions and with worship. So, I invite you to join us for these opportunities to grow and mature in your faith.

To learn about some new MISSION OPPORTUNITIES , I invite you to join us for our Mission Team meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, June 18 at 6:30.

P.S. Are you one of our MIA’s? I keep a list of all the Palmetto folks who are “missing in action,” and it might surprise most of our folks to see how many Sundays they are away from church. Please know when you are not here, you are missed!
