Responding to the Hurricane

Responding to the Hurricane

In response to Hurricane Dorian, offerings collected during our 9:00 Faith Formation classes from September through December will go to PDA hurricane relief. We had a special offering yesterday in worship and our generous congregation gave $4,045.00 which will go directly to PDA. In addition some of our members gave directly to PDA’s website.

Helping local hurricane victims, especially those who missed work and needed food, we gave generously for our September ECCO (East Cooper Community Outreach) grocery bag collection. Last night our youth and Amazing Grays gathered in the Great Hall to sort and pack up the groceries. What a great inter-generational opportunity to “do” mission!

Today, our church is hosting a blood drive as there is a critical shortage of blood which the local chapter of the American Red Cross says is a result of the hurricane. So it is not too late to come to the church today from 3:00 to 8:00. You can go on line and register.

Thank you for your many acts of generosity.

Blessings,

Mike
