Have you noticed how popular Sunday Brunch is in Charleston these days? It seems like every restaurant is offering a special Sunday Brunch Menu. There was a time when it seemed like ALMOST everyone went to church and ALMOST all churches had just one service, and ALMOST every church Sunday worship service was at 11:00 a.m. In “the good old days” the issue was to hurry and get to the restaurant before the “Baptists got all the fried chicken.”
Well, the good old days are gone and so are Fifth Sunday Breakfasts here at Palmetto.
This Sunday will be our first “Fifth Sunday Brunch,” scheduled immediately following worship. I know it is spring break, but if your family gets back in town, bring your favorite dish and join us. And here is the good thing… you don’t have to worry about beating the Baptists for the last piece of CHICKEN!
Enjoy your spring break.
P.S. Speaking of food, thank you to all who brought all the delicious dishes for Kerry’s memorial service Saturday. And a special thank you to the Amazing Grays for setting up, organizing the meal, making the table arrangements and staying after to “clean up.”
