Palmetto Presbyterian Church Lowcountry Blessing Box Project
Our goal is to place and maintain Blessing Boxes around the Lowcountry. Blessing boxes are stocked with non-perishable food items, basic toiletries, baby supplies, and anything else that might be considered a blessing to someone who finds themselves in need. Items are anonymously donated and anonymously received. A simple rule applies - Leave what you can, take what you need.
These are the items most commonly donated and used to stock the Blessing Box:
Canned food with ring-pulls.
Socks.
Crackers.
Toilet paper.
Non-perishable foods.
Bottled water.
Palmetto has three Blessing Box locations throughout Mount Pleasant:
LifeBridge Church (2312 Rifle Range Road)
Lieben Road
Awendaw
How can I help?
1) Bring non-perishable food donations to the church and place on the shelves in the Great Hall.
2) Volunteer to help with keeping any one of the boxes stocked. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a week at a time to check and restock a box.
3) Bring, at any time, non-perishable food and personal items to the boxes and add these to the blessing boxes.
This a great way to introduce your family to caring for the needs of others!
