Mission Opportunities
As a church, we are always looking for ways in which to serve our community, as Christ has called us to do. We partner with local, national, and international organizations to give back to those in need.
See below for ways that you can get involved with Missions at PPC!

East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO)
Each week, East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) provides food for hundreds of families and individuals in our community. Their pantry follows the client choice model – allowing neighbors seeking food assistance to choose for themselves what products they receive. PPC’s Missions organizes ECCO food drives three times per year. In June 2023, our congregation generously donated 994 pounds of food worth a total value of over $1,700!
-
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
As part of our ecumenical outreach, we support our sister church, Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, with their ESOL program which offers Level 1,2,3 and 4 English classes in person as well as an online advanced class. Volunteer assistants are needed and will not have a teaching role, so no foreign language skills are needed. Assistants help students during class by answering questions and orienting them to the correct material & assignments.
-

"Because Palmetto is a missional church, I have been able to get involved in both local projects, like Turkeys for Huger and international projects like the CAP's 2019 and 2020 Puerto Rico Mission Trips. It is amazing to think of all the mission work that has been generated through our church over the years!"
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
