Rev. Margaret Fleming

The Reverend Margaret Fleming was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and is a cradle Presbyterian. She is a proud Blue Hose; graduating from Presbyterian College in 2015 with a Bachelors in History and a minor in Religion. Her passion for history led her to pursue her first Masters Degree in Modern History at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She often jokes that the most Presbyterian thing she has done is begin discerning her call in the Church of Scotland. She returned to the States after graduating from St. Andrews in November 2016 and began applying to seminary. Margaret received her Masters of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in May 2020. She returned to the Charleston area and currently lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Will, a medical resident at the Medical University of South Carolina. Margaret was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament and serves in the validated ministry of chaplaincy as a staff chaplain at Roper St. Francis West Ashley. Her passion is being with people, meeting them where they are at, and offering care and support to all those she encounters.
